VOLUNTEER DAY: WEEDING DAY

Every second Saturday, we host a volunteer day in the fields, pulling weeds while having conversations and building community. We will also be using our weeds to build compost piles. Bring lunch, a sun hat and gloves. Come for all or part of the day. Let’s come together and build the farm while building community!

SCHEDULE

10:15-10:30: Parking, Coffee/Tea and Registration
10:30: Opening Circle
1:00-2:00: Lunch — Please bring a picnic lunch or dish to share
2:00-4:00: Continue Volunteer Projects
2:00-3:00: Farm Tour for Newcomers & Children to visit the animals
4:00: Clean Up and Depart

Camping is available if desired.

Bring a sun hat, water bottle, and close-toed shoes. Layers are recommended for all weather.

Your guests and friends are welcome.

Children must be supervised at all times. If they are too young to help in our volunteer projects, please plan to have one adult who can contribute to the projects and one adult to attend to the children. We have many baby animals to visit in the barnyard or bring a picnic blanket to lay out in the shade of our plum tree!
