Three Springs Community Farm serves as a training ground for aspiring Biodynamic farmers, Land-Tenders & homesteaders by providing SEASON-long residential FARM INTERNSHIPS and short-term summer farm practicums.

“Our Mission is to create a Biodynamic, educational, cooperatively run farm that helps heal the relationship between earth, people, animals, and the spiritual world.”

Interns & Summer Farm Practicum Students participate in a foundational study of Biodynamic and Anthroposophical principles while practicing hands-on skills as part of day-to-day farm operations.

The Three Springs Biodynamic Farm Internship offers a structured curriculum of study in regenerative, Biodynamic, Permaculture and spiritual farming practices, along with hands-on learning, guided and mentored by Willow & Lew Summer (running apprenticeship and internship programs since 2000), and Ronni Sands, as well as other teachers.

Through close mentoring, our Internship offers an opportunity to gain mastery in all aspects of our diverse farm, including nursery work, vegetable production and animal husbandry, all with an emphasis on the Biodynamic practices given by Rudolf Steiner in the Agriculture Course and other lecture cycles.

Hard work, companionship, seasonal eating and nature immersion rejuvenate the soul and spirit throughout the seasons on the land. Biodynamic Agriculture and study of farming practices takes place twice a month. Interns receive a set of basic books, and attend up to 4 quarterly regional Biodynamic meetings where we make the preparations and learn the craft of Biodynamic preparation-making and use.

Living and working in community in an intentional way brings the possibility for fun and laughter, self-growth, and forging connections with new friends while building the skills for a new vocation in farming.

Our Farm Interns are also important leaders in their own right, helping to mentor school group visitors and volunteers. Through study and action, we learn together how to support the farm and all its' inhabitants, so it can, in turn, support our community of farmers and eaters.
